The Bird Sanctuary Chalet is a peaceful haven in the bush nestling in an indigenous forest, a stones throw away from the Wilderness Village on the Garden Route. The Wilderness is a romantic seaside resort renowned for its vast stretches of beach, peace and tranquility. It is 15 km east of George where you will find the host of the next Presidents Cup, the Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate.
The Wilderness has a 2 ,500 ha National Park with a number of rivers, lakes and estuaries. Main attractions include dolphin, whale and bird watching, back packing/hiking, angling, boating and hang gliding.

The chalet is tucked away in a private valley of indigenous forest. Protected from prevailing winds, the valley is a haven for birds. Go on private walks in the forest and if you are fortunate, you may spot an elusive bush buck. Relax on the viewing deck and enjoy the bird life, the lovely sea view, the moon rising over the Outeniqua mountains...

You will be within walking distance of the beach and the Wilderness Village which has restaurants, a luxury hotel, supermarket, pharmacy, doctor and Post Office.
