Tour Granbury's historic district in a horse-drawn carriage, and see the beautifully restored 19th and early-20th century homes that surround the Courthouse Square.
The historic Gordon House at Tarleton University's Langdon Cultural Center, one block east of the town square, often presents musical performances in a historic concert hall. The 1886 Granbury Opera House presents plays and musicals.
The 1885 Old Hood County Jail includes the original cell blocks, hanging tower and Hood County Historical Museum, which has a collection of old local photographs, as well as Gen. Granberry's original tombstone.
Out door activities include excellent hiking at Granbury's Nature Center and Sky diving at Granbury Airport.
Hidden Oaks Golf Course, Granbury's newest public course, offers a traditional 18-hole championship layout. Other courses include Granbury Country Club Golf Course, Nutcracker Golf Club, Three Oaks Golf Course (par-3), Squaw Valley Golf Course and Sugartree.
The Gulch at Granbury, an entertainment park, is home to the world's largest miniature golf course, batting cages, sand volleyball, an arcade, and Texas Twister.
10 miles south of Granbury is Glen Rose, where you can explore Dinosaur Valley State Park, gaze on incredible views of authentic dinosaur tracks in the Paluxy River bed, experience a wildlife safari at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, and enjoy "The Promise," an outdoor musical drama portraying the life of Christ.
