Piedra de Sol is the perfect retreat for nature lovers and is a bird-watcher's paradise. Located in the state of Guerrero, on the west coast of Mexico and fronting the Pacific Ocean is Playa Trocones.

Troncones is a small coastal beachfront community whose native inhabitants until recently made a living principally from the ocean and the land. This ecological vacation resort is known for its pristine beaches, surf and warm friendly people.

Troncones is 30 minutes by car from the twin resorts of Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa and 45 minutes from the International Airport.

The Owner of Piedra de Sol has furnished the place with beautifully crafted local items and this is apparent almost everywhere you look, from handmade tiles to polished woodwork and the woven palapa roofs. You only need to walk 50 metres to sink into the deep soft sand around the oceanfront.

The property is composed of 3 pavilions, each sleeping 2 people.

Lush tropical gardens fill the property utilizing many native plants including over 100 palm trees. Many are cultivated from the property's own nursery. There is an outdoor dining area covered with palm fronds with seating for 12 and an outdoor grill.
