We have a beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bath home in Volcano Hawaii! Located on a very private acre in a tropical rain forest, where misty morning rain to tropical sunshine graces your day! Beautiful Mango wood floors, granite countertops and marble & glass-block double shower bath. Have a great family vacation or a romantic getaway! The home has all amenities, cable TV, VCR, stereo, great kitchen with all appliances & utensils, washer/dryer & bikes. There is also a great lanai to sit and read a book or bird watch. We are adjacent to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, lots to see and do.

The town of Volcano is adjacent to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. In the park there are many things to do, visitors center (displays, programs, short films, hike arrangements) , art gallery, dining (at the Volcano House you can sit overlooking the caldera) , museums, and yes, the lava is flowing and can be seen up close (we got within 10 feet of it recently, very hot! ) When visiting Hawaii, you really need to see this spectacular show of nature. KMC (Kilauea Military Recreational Camp) is also in the park. Lots to see and do, hike (simple hikes to difficult all with awesome views), bike (we have 2 adult bikes, one with a child carrier & one child's bike for your use), walk through Thurston Lava Tube, visit waterfalls, the zoo, golf (Volcano Golf course is 5 minutes away, but many more in Hilo, Punaluu & Kona/Waikaloa) or swim with the turtles 40 minutes away at Punaluu Black Sand Beach or in 92 degree salt-water pools in Kapoho (we have beach chairs & beach towels for your use) & much more! We' re 28 miles up from Hilo (closest airport) and 2 hours from Kona. The Big Island of Hawaii can have snow on the top of Mauna Kea, a misting tropical rain & sunshine (at 80+ degrees) at different parts of the island all at the same time. Volcano has some great restaurants (Kilauea Lodge, Lava Rock Cafe, Thai Thai Restaurant, Volcano House & even take-out pizza) but mostly made up of bed & breakfast places, a post office, 4 stores and close enough to Hilo too for more dining & shopping. There is the Volcano Winery near the golf course.

The Big Island is a wonderland of sights and experience. An island of amazing contrasts. Lush rain forest, plunging waterfalls, monolithic cliffs, beaches of many colours, fields of exotic orchids, active volcanoes and snow-capped peaks are all waiting to be discovered.
