The Fisherman's Cottage is a fully self-contained cottage, catering to the Top End of the market, in the centre of Currie, Great getaway, Gourmets' Delight, Excellent Surfing, Diving and Fishing!

1 - 2 minutes walk to all of the shops, 8 minute walk to the Currie Wharf, harbour, beach and the lighthouse. The cottage is completely furnished, including linen, telephone (incoming & local) and cable T. V. It has a fully equipped kitchen - fridge, oven, microwave, sandwich maker etc. . . . . . The cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. Sleeping - 3 Bedrooms; 1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms There is also a portable single bed which can be used in the double bedroom and a sofa couch in the living room which folds out into another double bed. There is a second portable single bed (which lives in the laundry, when not in use).

The Island:

King Island is very safe, especially for children. King Islanders do not even lock their cars! King Island is a ruggedly beautiful Island in the middle of Bass Strait, between Tasmania and Melbourne. Approx. 45 minutes on a plane, south from Melbourne. King Island is on the 40th Parallel, very, very clean and green. Climate is temperate. (Not as hot as Melbourne in summer & not as cold as Melbourne in winter, no frosts!) Wonderful long white, sandy isolated beaches - surfing, (Ripcurls's top surfers stay there) diving, fishing, long walks, links golf course. No traffic lights, population approx. 1700.
Beef, sheep, dairy farming, kelp farming, crayfish (lobster) industry, beautiful (international award winning) cheeses, double cream and crème fraiche etc. The export beef melts in your mouth. King Island is known for it's world famous produce.

Restrictions: No smoking and No pets inside the cottage
